Emir Brown-Murillo (Emiricus) is a Honduran-American poet, educator, and multimedia artist from Harlem. Their work blends spiritual clarity, cultural memory, and sharp narrative instinct across poetry, education, and digital media. A recipient of Emory University’s Artistine Mann Poetry Award and author of three poetry collections, Brown brings the same intentionality to the classroom as they do to the page. They currently serve as an instructional coach in Harlem and continue to write, teach, and build creative archives rooted in community and transformation.
